Thanks a lot for your oppinion – I was just thinking of what laptop should I get. But my choice depends on multimedia capabilities of the computer, and I’ve heard that Mac and Mac OS are really good in that, and Linux even doesn’t support Audigy audiocard drivers. Such a complicated decision, goddamn.

Another question is that one Mac costs two Dells – why?

In my software sources, Ubuntu Software tab, at the bottom was “Installable from CD-ROM/DVD”

I unchecked that box and the no more cd rom crap at the CLI.

“Zen?” Questionable. Jobs is a spiritual guy, from the stories, but also can display a non-compassionate attitude.

Typo or paste miss.
I wanted to say so,

$.hotkeys.add( ‘Ctrl+Up’ ,{ target : ‘div#editor’ }, );
not work.

$.hotkeys.add( ‘Ctrl+Up’ ,{ target : $(’div#editor’ })[0], );
work.

And “not work” code is written USAGE in “jquery.hotkeys.js”

I don’t know what are you trying to do, but, as I see in the two examples you didn’t supplied neither the shortcut nor the function reference.

Instead of
$.hotkeys.add(,{ target : ‘div#editor’ }, );
there should be something like:
$.hotkeys.add('Ctrl+x',{ target : ‘div#editor’ }, function(){do_somthing();});

In general, comments regarding this plug-in may be submitted at the project’s site

Please put the code in a pre tag - without that the indentation is lost. This would not be a problem for most languages - but for python its an issue.

With loads of discussion on Vista recently, ODF taking on and about every big laptop brand also doing Linux now, the general public starts to find out there’s more than “what MS wants” and it’s not difficult as also non-geeks use it.

um. I thought you can plow. Browser isn’t taking over the pc for doing this; it is not a security issue for the pc. Calling preventdefault won’t work? but must be a way out.

That is because the operating system never ‘tells’ browser about it but handling it as switching between windows. It is there because the test script is generated automatically making all those combinations.

Let us assume that IE Users will stay with us for the next decade. And let us assume that IE popularity rate will be at least whatever Opera has today. Since today I check my code with Opera, I see no reason to skip on IE.

One should always separate MS the corporate and its end-users. Many of IE users are not aware of the alternative existence at all, and even if they do, they are not that familiar with installing a new browser.

PS:
In my opinion, sooner or later IE will become an *OPEN SOURCED BROWSER* (it would be a late step by ms in order to save it self esteem). Which will extend its scope a little more.
